This is a map of where we were born.

Today James came in to do some more work on maps, we made a map on where we were each born. We also measured how many km it takes to get from home to Waikowhai Primary school.

How far have some students travelled in their lifetime to reach WPS? : Khatizah was born 9 ,548 km away from waikowhai

Why do people make the choice to move to different countries: a lot of people choose to move to different countries because of the temperature the amount of food and war.

Is this a trend in NZ society? What does the media tell us?: yes but just Auckland.

room 7 watched a video about bullying and how it is not okay to judge a person about how they look. when I was watching the video it made me think about how it is totally okay to look different from other kids.

My favourite famous person

This term room 7 made slides on our favourite person/team. I decided to do Zendaya because I think she is cool and talented person to do.  This is my slide. If you would like to leave a comment feel free to. 

What to do?

On the first day of term 4 James came in to teach us about trolling online. We each made scenarios to tell you what to do when you are being trolled. 

Why are we aloud to type nasty and rude things on the internet?

My mythical creature slide

This term Room 7 has made movie trailers for our library books we picked. We had some very interesting and cool trailers made.I got out the book the Long way home.The whole class had all created them with imovie on the iPad's, we had so much fun creating these.

Our ideas of a good Blog comment

On Monday James come in to teach us about how to make great comments on others blogs. We learnt about how to create a good comment and ways to stay positive when commenting online. Here's what we came up with

My Circuit

My Circuit

On Monday the first day of term 3 room's 7, 8 and 9 gathered in the hall. We each had one person from each class in our group. Once we finally got our brain box kit we also got a little booklet that has circuits to try and complete. The first curcuit we look at was a circuit to make a bulb light up.  It was so cool. I couldn't believe what I was looking it was so impressed that a little circuit like that could make a light work. We had so much fun creating these.

If a curcuit is not complete the power from the battery unit is not going to get to the light bulb and the light bulb isn't going to light up.
